LYRICS:
Lyrics & Music Eva Hillered
Don’t limit yourself open it up
Don’t limit yourself open it up
Don’t limit yourself now
The mind is a wild, wild horse
If you make a corral for it
Don´t make it small and
Please hold your head up high
I want to see every step you take
Even when you hide
I will come to you in the sunset
Kiss you gently on your forehead
If you’re tired we can rest
Don’t limit yourself open it up…
And if our house burns down
We’ll just walk away
Make sure to keep our eyes wide open
Cause when we least expect we will find the way
And now it’s finally time
Now it’s finally time
To find home
Don’t limit yourself open it up…

The Story Behind the Song
In a time when the pursuit of the superficial often drowns out what truly matters, I long for wisdom.
This song was born from the words of a Buddhist monk – a voice that didn’t need to name-drop or hashtag its ego to touch something deeper.
No one knows who this person was, but the words remain – and now they live on in my song.
I need to sing this song for myself in times like these, when everything seems to change in the blink of an eye.
I’ve tried this song many times in front of an audience, and it works – it seems I’m not the only one who needs to hear these words.
